Women’s History Month – Army Reserve NCO earns top honors at Drill Sergeant Academy

Staff Sgt. Briana Popp, an Army Reservist, accepts her drill sergeant hat from drill sergeant instructor, Sgt. 1st Class Tayna Polk, during a March 8 graduation ceremony at Fort Jackson, S.C. Popp earned the titles of Iron Female and Distinguished Honor Graduate and will be a drill sergeant with 3-518th, 2nd Brigade, 98th Training Division (Initial Entry Training), an Army Reserve division headquartered at Fort Benning, Ga. As a civilian, Popp is a surgical tech at Jack Houston Memorial hospital.
