FORT BENNING, Ga. (Feb. 16, 2018) – Soldiers, civilians and members of the Fort Benning community attended the African American History Month celebration “Beyond the Books” Feb. 15 at the Donovan Research Library.

Col. Douglas G. Vincent, commander of the Airborne and Ranger Training Brigade, introduced guest speaker retired Chaplain (Lt. Col.) Bonita L. Davis.

The chief librarian, Ericka Loze-Hudson, led a tour of the library, wherein busts of prominent figures in African and African-American history sat above displays of related books.
