Dining facilities at Fort Benning serve Soldiers Thanksgiving

FORT BENNING, Ga. (Nov. 21, 2017) – In accordance with Army holiday tradition, Fort Benning senior officers and NCOs wear their dress blue uniforms and serve Soldiers their Thanksgiving meal.

It’s a couple of days early, but the Noncommissioned Officer Academy dining facility is already in the turkey business.

Fourteen dining facilities will be serving over 12,000 traditional meals this week. With the vast majority served on Thanksgiving Day, to Solider, retirees and family members remaining on post for the holiday.

The dining staff will work 24 hours a day, roasting and baking and everything else to be ready to serve our Soldiers.
