In the early 50’s, my Brother “Robert E. O’Keefe” I am told received the Silver Star, from Gen.Mark Clark in Korea. I believe he was with the Ranger’s from fort Benning Ga. I have mentioned this to others, however i’m not sure. Can someone check on this, or tell me how.

    • Here at the Public Affairs Office, we do not keep records of either former or current Soldiers. Nevertheless, you may have luck with the National Archives.

Separation information (type of separation, character of service, authority and reason for separation, separation and reenlistment eligibility codes) for Soldiers who have separated from the military can obtain a copy of their DD214 at the National Archives ( or (866)272-6272).
