FORT BENNING, Ga. – The 2017 Gainey Cup kicked off in true Armor fashion with a loud BOOM on May 1, 2017, at Red Cloud Range.

For the first time during the competition the Maneuver Center hosted a Scouts-in-Action live-fire demonstration to showcase the vehicle platforms and lethal capabilities Cavalry Scouts bring to the battlefield.

The demonstration began with a Blackhawk fast rope insertion, a mortar call-for-fire, Stryker support-by-fire, a Bradley Fighting Vehicle and Abrams Main Battle Tank live-fire demonstration for Soldiers, Families, competitors and international military guests.
