2017 Gainey Cup – Day – Standings – Day ONE

FORT BENNING, Ga. – The 2017 Gainey Cup – Best Scout Squad Competition started at dawn on May 1, 2017, at the U.S. Army Armor School’s Harmony Church.

At the end of the four-day competition the U.S. Army will know which unit has the Best Scout Squad. This years competition has 24 teams competing; 20 U.S. Army teams and four international teams, two from Canada, one from the Netherlands and one from the British Army.

Day one’s events started out with written exams testing their knowledge of cavalry history and basic scout tactics, land navigation and reconnaissances to test their memory.
