Commanding General gets early look at new Fort Benning Army Wellness Center

FORT BENNING, Ga. – Maj. Gen. Eric Wesley, the Fort Benning and Maneuver Center of Excellence Commanding General, received a preview of the new Fort Benning Army Wellness Center ahead of its Jan. 30 grand opening.
The new facility will focus on the maneuver performance triad, a comprehensive fitness strategy emphasizing the performance and health of Soldiers.
The wellness center will aim to reduce the number of non-medically available Soldiers by providing education and prevention programs to develop and sustain healthy lifestyles.
Services provided at the center will include health assessments, body composition analysis, sleep education and weight management.
The Fort Benning Army Wellness Center will be available at no cost to Soldiers, family members, retirees and Department of the Army civilians.
The ribbon-cutting will take place at 3 p.m. Jan. 30, followed by an open house and tour of the facility.
