FORT BENNING, Ga. – Twelve transitioning Soldiers from Fort Benning registered and recently attended one of two Lineman Information Sessions presented by Charlie Spicer, the Lead Military Recruiter for Duke Energy.

Spicer distributed Construction and Skills Trades Test (CAST) Lineman Test Study Guides during these information sessions. 

Seven Soldiers took the Cast test Nov. 3, and two of the seven also took the Technical Occupations Selection System Test.  Two Soldiers took both tests.

Six of the seven Soldiers were offered interviews with Duke Energy.  They will interview in North Carolina or Florida based on the state where the Soldier chooses their employment location. 

The interviews will be held during the last two weeks in November with a follow-on Physical Abilities Test being scheduled and administered a few weeks after the interviews.

These connection events allow Transitioning Soldiers, their Spouses, and Veterans to connect with a wide range of employers and educators that are committed to assisting them make a smooth transition from Army life.
