Fort Benning’s Family Advocacy Program is hosting a comedy hour at 1:30 p.m. Sept. 21 in McGinnis-Wickam Hall’s Marshall Auditorium.
Everyone is welcome to attend. Los Angeles based comedian, actress and author Kerri Pomarolli will be performing at the comedy hour.
Pomarolli has appeared on television shows such as Good Morning America and Comedy Central, said Theresa Sanchez, the Family Advocacy Program prevention coordinator.
She comes highly recommended, said Sanchez.
“Soldiers are required to get annual training through FAP. During that time, we go out and talk to them about our program and what services are available to help them if they’re having issues with things such as stress,” Sanchez explained.
“This is another innovative approach to provide Soldiers, family members and civilians an opportunity to receive one hour mandatory FAP annual training outside the classroom,” said Rebecca Welch, the Family Advocacy Program manager.
FAP has brought special guests to Fort Benning in the past, including Hal Runkel, founder of the ScreamFree Institute.
